Douglas C. MacLellan
Executive Chairman & CEO

Mr. MacLellan is a member of the board of directors and chairman of the audit and compensation committees of the Company. Mr. MacLellan is currently Chairman and CEO of Broadband Access MarketSpace, Ltd, a China-Centric IT firm marketing products under the Zinc Networks brands since June 2002. Mr. MacLellan is also currently President and CEO of the MacLellan Group, Inc., a privately held business incubator and financial advisory firm since May 1992. Mr. MacLellan is also currently Vice-Chairman of the Board of AXM Pharma, Inc. and its predecessors, since October 2000. From January 1996 through August 1996, Mr. MacLellan was also the Vice-Chairman of Asia American Telecommunications (now Metromedia China Corporation,) a majority owned subsidiary of Metromedia International Group, Inc. From November 1996 until March 1998, Mr. MacLellan was co-Chairman and Investment Committee member of the Strategic East European Fund. From November 1995 until March 1998, Mr. MacLellan was President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of PortaCom Wireless, Inc., a company engaged as a developer and operator of cellular and wireless telecommunications ventures in selected developing world markets. Mr. MacLellan is a former member of the board of directors and co-founder of FirstCom Corporation, an international telecommunications company that operates a competitive access fiber and satellite network in Latin America, which became AT&T Latin America, Inc. in August 2000. From 1993 to 1995, Mr. MacLellan was a principal and co-founder of Maroon Bells Capital Partners, Inc., a United States based merchant bank which specializes in providing corporate finance services to companies in the international and domestic telecommunications and media industries. Mr. MacLellan was educated at the University of Southern California in economics and finance, with advanced training in classical economic theory.

Akio Ariura
Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Ariura has served a number of both private and public companies with special projects in recent years, including Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance, U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission filings, and project management of mergers and acquisitions.

Previously he was Vice President, Sunvest Industries, LLC, Lake Forest, California where he oversaw the review, development and implementation of yearly budgets and developed internal controls for its operating manufacturing entities. Mr. Ariura also served as Chief Financial Officer for United States operations for Derlan Industries, Inc., Toronto, and a Canadian manufacturer with subsidiaries in the U.S.

He is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Business Administration.

Andrea Small-Howard
VP, Research Development & Scientific Research

Dr. Small-Howard joined the company in 2006. She previously served as Assistant Researcher/Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology at the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii.

Dr. Small-Howard earned her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences at the University of Southern California (USC) and her A.B. (with honors) in Biology from Occidental College, Los Angeles. She completed her education as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Queen's Center for Biomedical Research at The Queen's Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Dr. Small-Howard has been involved in research for more then 20 years, and her areas of expertise are in biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology and immunology. She is the author of numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and has made numerous presentations at national scientific meetings.

Christopher Gee
Director, International Sales & Marketing

Mr. Christopher Gee has extensive international business operations, sales and marketing experience and has been a product manager for Tier 1 global brands.

Kristine Szarkowitz
Director, Investor Relations

Ms. Kristine Szarkowitz holds over 15 years corporate communications, public relations and investor relations in public and private companies.

Ray Gatchalian
Director, IT & Compliance

Mr. Ray Gatchalian holds over 19 years corporate IT, Sarbanes-Oxley Audit and Compliance experience with both large and small companies. 

Dana Polentz
Controller & Special Projects

Ms. Dana Polentz is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations and special projects for the company.

Holden Harris
Manager, Quality Assurance & Control

Mr. Holden Harris oversees and coordinates all document control, design control, quality testing and related activities for Radient Pharma’s complete product line.
